Join award winning author and photographer Ian McAllister, one of Canada’s leading wildlife conservationists, for two unforgettable multi-media presentations on the large carnivores of Canada’s Great Bear Rainforest.
“… an awe-inspiring wilderness, where bear-hunting wolves take to the sea, grizzlies clash in titanic battles and wild salmon are the pulsing lifeblood of an entire rainforest ecosystem….McAllister draws from nearly twenty years of exploration, research and front-line wildlife conservation work along the remote outposts of Canada’s northern coastal rainforest.” Named by Time Magazine as a “Leader for the 21st Century” for his wildlife protection efforts, McAllister describes living with genetically unique wild wolves, Canada’s largest grizzly bears, the rare white Spirit bear in a stunning wilderness environment.
As a co-founder of the wildlife conservation group Pacific Wild, he will describe the challenges and environmental threats facing Canada’s west coast as oil, timber and fish farm companies look to exploit the regions natural resources / The author will have both of his large format award-winning books on coastal grizzly bears and wolves on hand for purchase and signing.
