Spearheaded by the Korea Forest Service the government will set
up an agency to coordinate Asian forest policies by next summer, with
the goal of promoting low carbon emissions and green growth. A Cheong
Wa Dae official says this would raise Korea’s contribution level and
status in the international community on environmental conservation.
President Lee Myung-bak proposed the body at the World Knowledge Forum
this year. http://english.chosun.com/w21data/html/news/200812/200812160027.html
