Illinois: Raise your voice about harmful overuse of prescribed burning on Shawnee NF

The Shawnee National Forest proposes to burn 5600 acres of forest in
the Illinois Ozarks as a  Healthy Forest Act project. These projects are supposed to be for
protecting urban-wildland interface areas with an extremely high risk
of wildfire, but according to the Greenfire Consulting analysis of the
Wayne National Forest plan, burning of the forest is a net cost to the
taxpayers, and burns result in degradation of such ecosystem services
as clean air, carbon storage, and watershed protection.

We have much
higher needs for the limited resources available to the Forest
Service. Please tell the Forest Service you object to this project!
