Montana: Forest Destruction for Biathlon course shut down by judge

HELENA: The U.S Forest Service says logging at a proposed biathlon
course by the Montana Army National Guard will be barred until a judge
rules on a lawsuit filed against the plan. Helena District Ranger
Duane Harp says the Guard will continue to secure necessary permits,
as well as move forward with parts of the timber sale. That includes a
survey of the property and laying out the course on MacDonald Pass.
Several conservation and environmental groups filed the lawsuit to
prevent construction of the course. They say it will affect wildlife
traveling between Yellowstone and northern wilderness areas.
